Jephthah's story is a complex one, involving military leadership, and a tragic vow. Chris and I discuss how God does not pick perfect people to accomplish his purpose. In fact, the Bible is full of examples of imperfect people being used by God. Jephthah's story is no different.

We discuss his legendary strength, his conflicts with the Philistines, his tumultuous relationship with Delilah, and the spiritual implications of his choices, culminating in his iconic final stand. In the end, he was remembered as faithful when he finally recognized that God gave him is strength as he fulfilled his purpose.

Moses was counted as faithful, because not only did he lead the people out of Egypt, he also looked forward to the Messiah, Jesus. Chris and I discuss how we too are set apart for a purpose for God and that our eyes up faith is what allows us to be different as we look forward to Christ's return. Moses parents were regarded as faithful for hiding Moses and sending him into the Nile river to keep him safe. It was all part of God's plan for Moses enacted through his faithful parents. Ep 72: You can have the same confidence in God as Joseph
