Christ offered to let us drink from streams of living water now, and through the Holy Spirit, we can drink daily. Ep 89: Chris walks us through God's teaching on the Kingdom of God being here now

This week, Chris takes us through one of the things God has been teaching him. He points out how Jesus teaches the Kingdom of God is here now. He describes how in Mark 4:26-29, the parable that Jesus is describing is not of the Kingdom at work in the future, but that the Kingdom of God is working now even when we do not observe it. So, if we want to participate in the Kingdom of God now, we have the responsibility to work to plant, water, and harvest all that God is doing. He is calling us to join him in His work. In fact, Chris states that "our job is to sow seeds of faith through steps of obedience", and that is exactly what we discuss.

This humbling experience laid bare crucial lessons about the importance of unwavering obedience to divine commands, the destructive nature of hidden sin within a community, and the necessity of seeking God in ALL things.

Ep 87: Robert discusses how God calls us to do difficult things

This week, Robert starts the discussion in Judes 2:1-6 where the angel of the Lord addressed the disobedience of the Israelites to drive the nations out of the promise land. We walk through the original promise, the command, and how the Israelites fall short of what God called them to do. We point out two things... First, the Israelites did what they could in their power, but they did not rely on God to come through for them in big ways. Second, by not driving out the evil nations, the Israelites simply lived in the midst of the pagan culture which ultimately was their downfall. We hope that as you listen to this episode you learn how to study scripture, seek to step into what God is calling you into, and that you choose to be set apart.

That the more time Chris spent in the high ropes the more he learned to trust his ropes. Similarly, the more we learn to trust God in the tough times, the less stressful future challenges become.

As we walk through Hebrews 11 Chris and I learn from the story of Samuel. A boy dedicated to serve God by his mom, he learned to hear God's voice from Eli. God's voice was unrecognizable until Samuel had some help from Eli, but when he heard God's voice, he never forgot it. This episode is how you can learn to hear God's voice in the same way Samuel heard it.
